Waxed cord is regular cotton/linen cord with a light coat of wax. Waxing makes the thread stiffer, more water and mildew resistant, and less stretchy. Some waxed cords can leaved a residue on your hands, but it washes off easily. You may want to add additional wax yourself using beeswax, which we also sell.
