Russian Rope - Intermediate Level

A Russian Rope is fun, fast and easy (once you have done the start!) and is suitable for all levels of beaders. It produces a distinct spiral pattern that is more pronounced and finer than the same number of beads on a Peyote Spiral. You can experiment with making it finer or fatter simply by reducing or increasing the start beads. This rope is particularly good as a base for embellishment. WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY RUSSIAN ROPE?

Keep it simple . . .   Kerry made a short rope and turned it into a simple but effective bracelet with a flower as a button closure.	Make a neck piece . . .   Barb used a lovely semi-precious stone as a feature piece and capped the end of this subtle rope with metal cones for a neat finish.
Queen Bead embellished her rope with tourmaline and hung an embellished glass tile from it as a feature.
